Account Deletion Policy
At AskSimona.com, we want users to have clear control over their accounts and personal information. This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can request deletion of your AskSimona account, what happens when your account is deleted, what information may be retained, and how account deletion differs from subscription cancellation.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You may request deletion of your AskSimona account at any time.
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your deletion request.
2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When your account deletion request is processed:
- your AskSimona account will be deactivated or permanently deleted
- you will lose access to your account, saved content, and associated features
- your notes, files, audio uploads, tasks, projects, and other account content may be deleted
- you may no longer be able to recover your content after deletion is completed
- any active sessions may be terminated
3. What Data Will Be Deleted
Subject to the retention exceptions described below, deleting your account generally means we will delete or anonymize:
- your account profile information
- your login credentials and account identifiers
- your notes, saved content, uploaded files, and audio
- your prompts, tasks, projects, and user-generated content
- your app usage data associated with your account
- your customer support history, where deletion is appropriate
4. What Data May Be Retained
Even after an account deletion request, we may retain certain information where necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes, including: billing and transaction records, tax and accounting records, records needed to comply with legal obligations, fraud prevention and security records, and limited suppression records to ensure we honor deletion requests.
5. Deletion Timing
- Account access may be disabled promptly after verification.
- Deletion from active systems may occur within 30 days.
- Backup or archival systems typically cycle out within 30 to 90 days.
6. Subscription Cancellation Is Separate from Account Deletion
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active paid subscription.
If you purchased a subscription through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party platform, you must cancel that subscription directly through that platform to avoid future charges.
7. Deleted Accounts Cannot Usually Be Restored
Once deletion is completed, your account and associated content may not be recoverable. Before requesting deletion, you should download or export any information you want to keep.
8. Requests Made by Authorized Representatives
Where permitted by law, an authorized representative may submit a deletion request. We may require proof of authority and verify identity before processing.
9. Children's Accounts
AskSimona is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted by law. If we learn that an account was created in violation of age restrictions, we may delete it immediately.
10. Security and Abuse Prevention
We may deny or delay a deletion request to verify identity, prevent fraud, or protect the integrity of the Service.
